Week 2 (Mexico Training Center)
Hiya Mum!!
I'm glad you are all doing well!! I love it here in Mexico! We got to go outside of the walls today to go finalize our permanent visas for the next year! And they took us to the Visitor's Center at the Mexico City Temple!!! It was awesome! It pretty much took up our whole pday, but Hermana Swan and I got our laundry done last night so it wasn't too much of a big deal. Life here at the CCM has become more regular and it is going well! My Spanish is improving and becoming more sophisticated and I am learning how to teach people more effectively! It is great! I love it here! Also, I need Karly's email, I need to send her words and pictures!!! The food is still great and I love the trees here, and the hills or mountains depending on where you come from. So for me they are mountains, haha. That is great that you got my blog set up! I am going to be sending a lot of pictures today since they took us outside on our pday. We are only allowed to use our cameras on pday so I took lots of pictures of the stuff we saw on the way from the Immigration Office. Mexico is so cool!!! I can't wait to get to Puebla!! I hear that a lot of the architecture there is Spanish Colonial so I am pumped! And I also heard that most of the best food in Mexico come from Puebla. I don't know about you, but that sounds like cielo (heaven)!!! My district is pretty great except for a few bumps that a couple certain Elders cause but we are working on it, so hopefully they simmer down and figure out who exactly they are here for and who they represent. They have some issues with being exactly obedient and respecting authority here, so it gets frustrating sometimes. But everybody else in my district is great! They are so much fun and they are really going to be great Elders out in the field! I also found Elder Grisham! Actually he found me on my first night when I was getting food at the Comedor, but we finally got a picture on Tuesday after Devotional! It's nice to have a familiar face from home, even though he is leaving like next week. So anyways I came up with this brilliant idea of having a slumber party with all the Hermanas in our casa on one of our last nights here. They were totally game and it sounds like a lot of fun! What I thought of was, was taking our matresses off of our beds and putting them in the front room and we can all sleep there and have a slumber party. Sounds like awesome funness! So about Hermana Swan, she is super sweet and awesome. She said if she was a combination of two Disney princesses she would be Cinderella and Meg (from Hercules) becuase she is super sweet and kind, but sometimes she can put the sass on thick. She is awesome, and I love her! Here on campus they put poinsettias everywhere for Christmas and it so cool!!!! Red everywhere! Even on the temple grounds they were everywhere!! I don't have a picture of them here on campus but I do of the temple grounds. I am really hoping we get to make a trip sometime to Mexico City from Puebla to go in the temple, that would be so awesome and bring me happiness!! Also, you should get on my facebook and tell Sarah Isert I am disappointed she hasn't sent me an email yet. I gave it to her, so I know she knows my email adress. Disappointment. And lay it on thick so she feels bad, haha. I would appreciate that. :) So for Christmas the CCM is going to show all of us Meet the Mormons and we are all so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is going to be a great day! Thanks for the family pictures! They made me smile! The food is still great here, which also makes me smile. I don't know what else to tell you besides that I know this church is the only true church here on this earth and I know that Jose Smith was a called to be a true prophet of God. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know through the church and Christ's teachings that familes can successfully be happy and through work done in the temples, the sacred and holy houses of God, families can be together forever. I bear this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. And I love you all so much! You should read this email to the family at dinner tonight, I think they would get a kick out of it. And have a "movie" with my pictures! Mexico is so cool!!!!!!!!Love,Brenae a.k.a. Hermana Newhard.jpg)
