Week 1 (Mexico Training Center)

         Hi Mom!!!! I love it here!!!!!!!!!!! It is such a great place! And it is gorgeous!! The food is great and I love my compañera!! Her name is Hermana Swan and she is super sweet and nice and fun! I have been learning a lot and my Spanish is doing really well!! We both can't wait to go out into the field, but we aren't ready for that now. So the two hour layover in Atlanta was fun, I guess. I was kinda bored. I was the first missionary to get to the gate so I wandered around and took the plane train several times looking for food, going back to the gate, going back to actually get food, and then going back to the gate. But once the other missionaries came to the gate, they came in a herd. The airplane to Mexico was full of missionaries! It was really cool!        

This first week at the CCM has felt like a month. Time seemed to just drag. But now that the first week is over, which is probably the worst week of them all (other missionaries will tell you this as well), it is a lot better. The CCM is great! I have a compañera and she is a pirate!! Her name is Elizabeth Swan (or Hermana Swan) and she needs to find a man with the last name of Turner so she can continue to be a pirate. She is super sweet and nice and she brings back to earth when I am up in the clouds for too long, haha. Our companionship is perfect! Our teacher is Hermano Gallegos and he is great! We all love him! All of the teachers here at the CCM are native Spanish speakers and that helps out a lot. I love it here! Our district here at the CCM has six companionships (which is a pretty big district in the CCM) and Hermana Swan and I are the only hermanas in our district, so that's fun. The CCM is such a great and humbling place, it is so fantastic!! We are already teaching an investigator solamente in Español!!!Tuesday while Hermana Swan and I were teaching our lesson I bore my testimony in Spanish and it was such a great experience. I felt the Spirit so strongly and I almost cried. It was so wonderful.      

Also, this was also before my mission but now it is even more so, I LOVE ELDER HOLLAND. We watched one of his past MTC devotionals during our Sunday devotional and it was awesome. You should really look it up, he gave it in January 2013 I am pretty sure, and it is absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should definitely watch it, not read it, because the way he says all the stuff he says is so powerful and straightforward and powerful and awesome!!!!!!!!!! You really should. I love it when he yells at us. I know it sounds weird but I really do!       Anyways, I wanted to thank you for putting the Nutella in my suitcase. I was ridiculously happy when I found it while unpacking, haha. It was really funny, just ask Hermana Swan. So, muchas gracias!!!!!!Also, people here have been getting packages, so you can send me stuff.I love you bunches and I love it here!!!!
