Week 18 (Manantiales 2)

This past week on Friday we had a hailstorm!! Like a legit hailstorm!!!!! It was so cool!!! We weren't outside when it started which is good, we were in the ward mission leader's house and we took pictures. It was great fun!! The streets flooded a little too, so it was a pretty intense storm!!

Yesterday we had a Stake meeting with all of the missionaries and ward mission leaders of the Stake and we talked about how we can improve how we work with the members. The members are the greatest tools we have for missionary work and they really make a huge difference in the success the missionaries have. When there are members who are actively engaged in missionary work and are truly excited to do it, this is when we see miracles and this is when we can see lives that truly change. But, there needs to be good communication between the missionaries and the members to achieve this success!!!!! Communication is key to any relationship, including this kind of relationship!! There needs to be communication on the missionary's part and on the members' part. So what we are going to do in our ward here is have more communication between us and the members more frequently during the week, that way we can find more people who are willing to help us and so that we can find ways to help the members in return in their own missionary work. We have bright hopes for the upcoming weeks!

So today we jumped on the mission leader's trampoline and it was super fun because Hermana Felipe had never played on one before! Great fun!!!!!!! I did some flips but I can't land on my feet.

The language is coming along great, just have to keep expanding my vocabulary and improving my grammar so I can communicate more smoothly. I really love speaking Spanish, it is so much fun! And it is becoming more and more natural to speak it which is a great feeling! Also the Spanglish is getting really bad when I try, key word here is try, to speak English. Spanish is taking over my brain!!!!!!!!!! Which is actually really cool.

Also found a lizard this week that tasted pretty delicious, just kidding I didn't eat it. But here is a picture of the event so you can judge for yourself if I really did eat it, hahahahaha.

Love you all and love the stripes, well done family, well done. Miss you all and your hugs that I sometimes force out of you, but I still miss them.

   Stay excellent!
