CONFERENCE WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I am seriously so excited to get the Liahona for next month!!!!!!!!! It is seriously going to better than Christmas!! Maybe not, but it will be really close!!! Holland is seriously the best!! They are all so awesome!!!!! I want Conference 24/7! But that isn't the real world, so I will just read Conference talks every day and that will be close enough, haha.
My new companion is Hermana Felipe and she is great! She is goofy which works well and she is also a great missionary and teaches well. These next 6 weeks will be great! She also has some pretty great music with her which makes me happy, haha. She is from the Mexican state of Michoacan.
So today I went inside a volcano, it was pretty sweet. It is the smallest volcano in the world and it is pretty safe because it is in the middle of a city, haha. I didn't even get a burn, haha. It was actually pretty cool in there, temperature wise.
So the work here is going to be different without Hermana Cuevas, but I think it will be great! We are making plans to improve and find more people and have more progress with the people we have already found. Missionary work is a lot of work!! But it is totally worth it! Being on a mission and teaching people things you have known for your whole life makes you really appreciate the gospel knowledge you have. The gospel puts such a unique perspective on life, and I personally love that perspective! The gospel just gives us such a worthwhile purpose in our lives, and if we didn't have the gospel we would really be lost in the world. What would we have to live for if we didn't know about the eternal potential that we have, to become like God? Without the eternal perspective that the gospel brings, I feel like nothing would even matter! The gospel is great, the gospel is true, and the gospel is of God. I know that this is the TRUE church of God and Jesus Christ and only through this church and the authority it has can we reach our ever so great potential. The gospel just makes sense! I love it and I hope I never leave it. Remember to endure to the end and stay by the Tree of Life. It has all we will ever need.
